Everything But Typical is a collaborative effort by the families of some incredible kids who are everything but typical.  We met by luck and proximity when our newborns were all enrolled in therapy classes at the LeAnn Britain Infant Development Center in Overland Park, KS.  Together, we have learned that special kid’s aren’t given to special parents – they create special families. We have learned that sometimes the bad moments outweigh the good but - more often than not - the good ones outweigh the bad. We have learned that, when all else fails, you just have to laugh. We have learned that, when you have a kid who is everything but typical, they come with a unique set of special, and ever evolving, needs.  We’ve found some things that have made life easier for us and we want to share them with you. Most importantly, we have learned that the best way to get through this is together.
